After an extended holiday season I’m back.  My goal for 2010 is to continue to bring you fiction for men (I might slip a non-fiction in there!) and hopefully some author interviews.

Here’s how we are going to start 2010 off. Why do you read?

Here’s a few reasons why I read.

  • Escape – It’s cliche (at least that’s what my wife told me when she saw the title of this), but it’s probably the main reason why I read. To enter a world that I will probably never be a part of. To dream of being a multi-millionaire thrill seeking adventurer. But for those novels that aren’t about playboy millionaires, I read to get a different perspective on life.
  • Learn – Fiction is made up but somewhere in there, I’m fairly confident there is something real that we can learn from.
  • It’s not TV or a computer -  During the weekdays I spend 8 hours in front of a computer screen and then come home for more.  The weekends are not usually that bad, but more than I care to admit.

So tell me.  Why do you read?
